Buttermilk Pie

This was my great grandmothers recipe.

1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup buttermilk
3 eggs beaten
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix salt, flour & sugar together. Add milk and melted butter. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Pour into unbaked pie shell for 45 minutes at 350. Place foil over pie after it browns to prevent over browning for the rest of the cooking time.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family does! Happy eating!!

Sick little boy

He misses his friends at school but loves staying at home with Mommy!!! I hope the rest of us stay well this week and do not catch this yucky stuff.. Until later on I hope everyone has a great week :)

Scripture Verse

Sorry it has taken so long to add my scripture verse to my blog. I had to add it to the bottom of my blog so it would work. Please check it out each day to get a new verse. I hope you enjoy this part of my blog.

Baseball Tryouts

Well today is baseball tryouts and we are very excited. We love this time of year. There is something exciting about sitting in the bleachers of a baseball complex watching your child play baseball. He did very well at tryouts and we are looking forward to a fun year in baseball.

I wanted my blog to consist of family information, things going on in our life, recipes, helpful hints & tips and also scriptures. I will be adding at least one recipe per week to my blog and a new scripture each day. I hope my family & friends are enjoying it as much as I am doing it.

Guitar Man

As you can see Nathan loves to play his guitar at night before he goes to bed. He tells us all the time "It relaxes me". We love to hear him playing at night or going crazy with it during the day. Sweet music to our ears!!! Nathan, always have a song in your heart.

My Little Cheerleader

Raechel just finished another year of Upward Cheerleading at our church . This will be her 3rd year cheering with Upward. We had a great time as you can see. She loves to cheer and we love to watch her as well. I am very proud to call her my daughter and for me to have the opportunity to coach her. We are very thankful that our church has this ministry.

GO UPWARD GO!!!!

New Years Eve

Well, the New Year started out great for our family. We celebrated with our closest friends. We all had a great time playing games, eating & just having loads of fun. The kids had a great time as well!!! We played Win, Lose or Draw and needless to say the men won. We all brought in the New Year together as close friends should. This will now be a annual tradition.

I thank God every day for our friends. We are very blessed to have ones as wonderful as these.
